THE TRUE BIBLICAL ISRAELITES LED AWAY AS CAPTIVES ACCORDING TO PROPHECY

Before we delve into the study, we need to state this strongly: this article is not about salvation or entering into the kingdom of God—none of these. This article is all about making the records straight. If you understand who the true Biblical Israelites are, chances are, you are likely to understand the Bible correctly. On almost every page of your Bible, the Israelites are written on it; if you don’t know who the true Biblical Israelites are, how can you understand the Bible? We are not saying that you have to be of a particular colour of skin or race to be saved or make it to the kingdom of God—we are not saying that. This article is all about correcting history that has been distorted. We believe irrespective of colour or race, if you follow the God of Israel wholeheartedly and keep His laws, statutes, commandments, and judgements, He will have mercy on you.

In Part One (The True Israelites Are a Dark-Skinned Race of People) we showed how Noah and his three sons populated the earth after the great flood; every one that ever lived after the flood descended from one of the three sons of Noah. We also illustrated how all the three sons broke down into lineages—most of these can still be traced today. Jacob and his 12 sons, the focus of this booklet and study, descended from Shem and are a dark-skinned race people as we’ve established with overwhelming pieces of evidence in Part One. The twin brother of Jacob, Esau, is the father of the Edomites (Edom, Idumea). The question that we should ask is: prophetically, what was going to happen to the true biblical Israelites? What was going to happen to Esau (Edom, Edomites, Idumea) the twin brother of Jacob? We will answer these questions and much more.

The preacher says: there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9); Israel as a nation has shown a streak of disobedience that led to God driving them into captivity. The Israelites experienced many captivities because of disobedience:

  • The Assyrian Captivity
  • The Babylonian Captivity
  • The Greek Captivity
  • The Roman Captivity

It should be realised that Israel, after exiting Egypt, entered a covenant relationship with God, and by that God married them; Israel became a wife unto the Lord. Let us see.

EXODUS 24:3

“And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do.”

Repeatedly Israel broke the covenant and God allowed them to be driven into captivity. Let us see how Israel broke the covenant repeatedly, and God delivered them into captivity.

Judges 3:12-15

12 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the Lord. 13 And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees. 14 So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years. 15 But when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.

It should be realised that Israel was divided into two kingdoms (nations)—the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom. The Northern Kingdom has been led away captive before Christ came on the scene; how do we know this? See 2 Kings 17:5-23. The Lord stated clearly that if they will not hearken to the voice of the Lord and keep all the statutes, laws, and commandments outlined in the covenant, He will send evil (curses) as a just measure. The terms of the covenant the Lord made with Israel stipulate the penalties for breaking the laws, statutes, and commandments. The Lord said His words will not go back to him void but it will accomplish the purpose for which He uttered the words; the Lord is true to His words. The terms of the covenant are still binding to this date.

When Jesus came on the scene, only Judah (the Southern Kingdom) was in the land, and that is why He instructed them to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 10:6). What did Jesus’ prophesy say will happen to Jerusalem and Israel at large? Let us see.

ISRAEL WOULD BE LED AWAY AS CAPTIVES INTO ALL THE NATIONS

 LUKE 19:28; 41-44

28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. 41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

In the above passage, Jesus was speaking concerning the destruction that was to come upon Jerusalem and her children. Jesus knew clearly what was to come and wept over the city. Let us see further passages to clearly understand what Jesus meant.

LUKE 21:20-24

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Notice what Jesus said in verse 22: that all things which are written may be fulfilled; all things written in the writings of the law and the prophets had to be fulfilled. Do you remember what Jesus said concerning all jots and tittle in the Bible? Let us see: Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

The destruction of Jerusalem that was prophesied, did it happen? Yes, it did! In 70AD, the Roman army, led by the future Emperor Titus, with Tiberius Julius Alexander encompassed Jerusalem and conquered it. Before the conquering of Jerusalem in 70AD, it was governed by different factions of Judaean rebels. Everything happened exactly as foretold in writings of the law, the prophets, and the words of Christ. The children of Israel were carried away captive into all the nations.

There is something very striking in verse 24: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Jerusalem will be trodden by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Currently, the times of the Gentiles are not yet complete and Jerusalem is still trodden down. The times of the Gentiles will be completed at the second coming of Jesus. The Israelites were dispersed into the Mediterranean and further led away captives. The question that we should ask ourselves is: Israel has been led away captives into all the nations, who are the people living in the land of Israel today? Most people currently living in the land of Israel are not blood descendants of Jacob and thus are not sons of Jacob. Ashkenaz is not a son of Jacob.

Further, Esau, the twin brother of Jacob, what happened to him and his descendants? It should be realised that the Edomites (the Idumeans, the descendants of Esau) sided with the Romans during the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. Repeatedly Esau has had a hand in the destruction of his brother Jacob—the children of Isreal. Let us see what the Lord said:

OBADIAH 8-13

8 Shall I not in that day, saith the Lord, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau? 9 And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter. 10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever. 11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. 12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress. 13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;

From the above passage, time and time again Esau (Edom, Edomites, Idumea) has had a hand in the destruction of his brother Jacob (children of Israel). His violence against his brother Jacob was great. 70AD was no different; Esau (Edom) sided with the Romans and helped facilitate the destruction of his brother Jacob. Esau partnered with the Romans and destroyed Jerusalem; entered Jerusalem and took possession of it: verse 13: Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity. Who are the people living in the land of Israel today? Most of them are Edomites, descendants of Esau—Jacob’s brother; there are also Gentiles (Ashkenaz) who converted and embraced the values of the Jews—these are not bloodline sons of Jacob. They will continue to be there until the Lord returns. What will happen to Edom (Edomites, Idumeans)? Let us see.

EZEKIEL 35:1-13

35 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, 3 And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. 4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. 5 Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: 6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. 7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. 8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. 9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. 10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the Lord was there: 11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. 12 And thou shalt know that I am the Lord, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. 13 Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.

Because Esau has had a perpetual hatred towards his brother Jacob, the Lord pronounced judgment against Mount Sier (Edom). Esau has shed the blood of the children of Israel and spoke blasphemous things against Israel—the people of God the Most High. The Lord declared an everlasting judgment against Israel. Let us see:

MALACHI 1:1-4

1 The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi. 2 I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, 3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. 4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord hath indignation for ever.

The indignation of the Lord against Esau (Edom, Edomites) is great and it is forever. The Lord has set His eyes against Esau and he shall not escape. Esau has moved into the land of Israel and taken the identity of his brother Jacob; Jacob’s brother is claiming to be Jacob. Today, some people are claiming to be Jews but are not; Let us see:

REVELATION 2:9

9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Since the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD, some people have taken the identity of Jacob although they are not sons of Jacob.

EZEKIEL 36:1-15,24

36 Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord: 2 Thus saith the Lord God; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: 3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: 4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; 5 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. 6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. 8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: 10 And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: 11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. 12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men. 13 Thus saith the Lord God; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations: 14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord God. 15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.

The above passage shows the true situation of the children of Israel and Jerusalem. The enemy (Idumea and others) have swallowed up the children of Isreal and laid Jerusalem desolate (verses 1-4). Jerusalem is laid desolate and her children led away captives. However, the Lord has promised to restore and visit Israel again (verses 7-15); the Lord will visit Israel again and it will happen at the second coming of Christ. There is something very striking in verses 9-10: “9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: 10 And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:”

Let us pause and ask ourselves a question: have all the prophecies in these verses been fulfilled? The answer is obvious; the answer is no! Has the prophetic promise of the restoration of Israel in verses 7-15 been fulfilled? The answer is no. The heathens are still fighting over the land, and the holy site of the Lord is still desecrated. When the promise of the restoration of Israel, which will happen when all the 12 twelve tribes of Israel are gathered at Christ’s return, there will be complete peace and all the land will be inhabited by Israel. Most of the people living in the land today are not sons of Jacob; Edomites and Ashkenaz are not sons of Jacob, and all the troubles happening in the land will continue. These troubles will continue until the true biblical Israelites have been gathered at Christ’s second coming and returned to their land.

REVELATION 3:9

9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

The Lord will make those falsely occupying the land and claiming to be Jews but are not to come and worship at the feet of the true biblical Israelites. We’ve now established clearly that the true biblical Israelites have been led away captives into all the nations as prophesied and according to the words of Jesus; the question is, where have they been led away captives? How can we accurately identify the true children of Israel? We will answer all these questions and much more. It should be realised that God put some spiritual markers in place—these are landmark signs that will help us identify the true children of Israel. If we follow these signs, we will accurately locate the children of Israel wherever they have been scattered. Some of the prophetic signs we will use are the prophetic curses outlined in the Bible; let us begin.

THE CONDITIONAL BLESSINGS AND CURSES—DEUTERONOMY 28

Now we know the biblical Israelites are a dark-skinned race of people (Part 1) and that they have been led away captives into all the nations of the earth; also, Jerusalem has been trodden down by the Gentiles and it will continue to be trampled until the period given to the Gentiles is completed. It should also be realised that when the children of Israel came out of Egypt, God entered a covenant relationship with them; the terms of the covenant were read to them and all of them said: WE WILL DO (Exodus 24:3). If the children of Israel obey all the commandments, statutes, laws, and judgments, the blessings outlined in Deuteronomy 28 (and benefits associated with obedience outlined elsewhere in the Scriptures) will overtake them. However, if they will not hearken and be obedient to the laws, statutes, and judgments of the Lord, the curses outlined in Deuteronomy 28 (and curses elsewhere in the Scriptures associated with disobedience) will overtake them. As we have already established, the words of the Lord concerning scattering the children of Israel because of disobedience came to pass; the northern kingdom was driven away from their land (2 Kings 17:5-23); Judah was taken away from the land in 70AD and further led away captive into all the nations. Let us look at this part to have a closer look at the curses. One thing you should remember as you read the curses is, ask yourself: which group of people on earth fits these curses?

DEUTERONOMY 28:1-6

28 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

Notice something in verse 1: to observe and to do all his commandments; the agreement was centered on keeping all the commandments—not a subset (an abridged version of it). Today, so many Christians falsely claim that Jesus came and put an end to the laws and thus are required to keep a selected few commandments—this is a lie and deception; all commandments, except the sacrificial law and associated rituals, are to be kept. Deuteronomy 28:1-6 outlines the blessings that will overtake Israel if they hearken and obey the commandments of the Lord. Deuteronomy 28:7-13 completes the rest of the blessings. These blessings are conditional; if certain conditions are met, these blessings will be clicked into gear. The condition for all these is obedience to the commandments of God. Let us turn to the other side of the coin and see the curses.

DEUTERONOMY 28:15-20

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. 17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. 18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

Verse 15 is the beginning of the curses that will overtake Israel if they will not hearken. Let us break the curses into bullets to understand them clearly:

Verse 15 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee”

  • Cursed shalt thou be in the city
  • Cursed shalt thou be in the field.
  • Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
  • Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
  • Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in
  • and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
  • The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly;

Why all these curses? The answer is given in verse 20:

“20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.”

The children of Israel did wickedly repeatedly (Judges 2:11; Judges 3:7; Judges 4:1; Judges 6:1; Judges 13:1) and God led them into captivity; they faced all the penalties for disobedience. They went after other gods—Baal, Ashtoreth, Molec; these gods are still around today—they have been rebranded as Christian with Christian-sounding names: Christmas, Easter, Lent, Easter Sunrise services, Halloween, etc; and sadly, people are still clinging to these gods to this day. Let us pause and ask a question, which group of people on the face of this earth fit all these curses outlined above? The curses fit the biblical Israelites that were led away captives into all the nations. They were taken away captive because of disobedience (see Exodus 20:5; Ezekiel 12:1-4;22;27-28; Zechariah 11:6). Who are the biblical Israelites that these things happened to? Can we prove these things happened to a particular group of people? Yes, absolutely (see Figures 1-3).

Figure 1: The children of Israel (African-Americans) picking cotton in the field. Curse shall thou be in the field (Deuteronomy 28:16). The children of Israel have lost their identity because of disobedience but they are not lost to the Heavenly Father. (Photo Illustration By Lisa Larson-Walker. Photo courtesy: Library of Congress, n.d.)

Figure 2: The children of Israel (the blacks shipped as slaves to the Americas and the Caribbean) working on a sugarcane plantation in the Caribbean; curse shall thou be in the field—other people will eat the fruit of your labour. These are the very curses prophesied in Deuteronomy 28. The slave trade and slavery were not random but permitted by God; it was God that gave the white man the power to do such a thing. . (The British Library (Public Domain), n.d.)

Figure 3: The curses outlined in Deuteronomy 28 are still in effect today; the curses overshadow all areas of the lives of the Israelites (African-Americans): Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store—you will be at the bottom. This is Deuteronomy 28 being played before our very eyes. (Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, The Economics Daily, n.d.).

We can see which group of people the curses happened to—the biblical Israelites led away captives into all nations. The biblical Israelites fled the persecution that befalls Jerusalem in 70AD and many fled into Africa. Did all this happen to the Edomites and Ashkenazis claiming to be Jews today? The answer is no. The Edomites and Ashkenazim claiming to be Jews today have no connection with the ancient Egyptians. The ancient Egyptians (Mizraim) were a dark-skinned race of people and so were the biblical Israelites. The curses outlined above only fit the true biblical Israelites (all the dispersed). Are there more curses? Yes, there are! Let us explore more curses and see which group of people these curses apply to.

Figure 4: Some of the areas where the children of Israel have been scattered to; millions of the children of Israel are scattered on the continent of Africa. Why is Africa economically backward? Why are diseases prevalent on the continent of Africa? This is not random—all we see are according to the word of the Lord. Please note that this is not exhaustive; there are more Israelites than indicated on the map.

DEUTERONOMY 25:21-44

21 The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. 22 The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. 23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. 24 The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 25 The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away. 27 The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28 The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. 30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. 31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. 32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand. 33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway: 34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 35 The Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. 36 The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. 37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the Lord shall lead thee. 38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. 39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. 41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. 42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. 43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. 44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

From the above passage, we can see more curses outlined. Can we illustrate that these happen to a particular group of people? Absolutely! Let us see:

Figure 5: Notice verse 33: “The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:” Other nations benefitting from the labour of the Israelites according to the word of the Lord (Deuteronomy 28:33). (The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam / John Raphael Smith, n.d.).

Verse 46 states something very striking: And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

All the curses outlined will be signs and wonders for the biblical Israelites. These are landmark spiritual markers; wherever you see them, they will point you to the true children of Israel. To which group of people did all these things happen? The blacks that were led away as captives and slaves to the Americas, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world—these are a dark-skinned race of people. These people may seem to be lost but they are not lost before the Lord—they are known to Him.

Are there more curses? Yes! Let us explore more:

DEUTERONOMY 25:46-62

46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever. 47 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. 49 The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: 51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. 52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. 53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: 54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: 55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. 56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, 57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. 58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God; 59 Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God.

Verses 46-62 further give an outline of the curses. These curses happen to a certain group of people—the biblical Israelites led away captives. Do you still have doubts about which group of people the curses apply to? Do you still have room for unbelief? The pieces of evidence are compelling and cannot be dismissed. Let us explore the rest of this important chapter to build the picture. God has strongly stated that He will chastise the Israelites if they hearken not unto His voice; let us see more:

LEVITICUS 26:14-17

14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; 15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: 16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

27-28

27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

33

33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

38-42

38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. 39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. 40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; 41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: 42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

God has made good all the things he stated in the above passage; He has scattered the Israelites according to what He stated through His servant Moses. How are the Israelites faring in all the places they have been scattered? They are at the bottom of the bottom—the Lord is using the other nations to chastise Israel and to bring them back to their spiritual senses.

The Lord has shown strong love towards Israel (Deuteronomy 32:8-20) but Israel chose not to reciprocate the love that God has shown them; they chose to be a froward nation and worship other gods (Easter, Christmas, Lent, Easter Sunrise services, Ash Wednesday, Halloween, Sunday worship). What did the Lord do? Let us see:

Deuteronomy 32:26

“I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:”

The Lord scattered the true biblical Israelites according to His word in the above passage. Israel does not know its owner (Isaiah 1:3).

DEUTERONOMY 28:63-68

63 And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. 64 And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 68 And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

Some people may find this puzzling: why will God allow the people called by His name to pass through all this? When the Lord speaks a word, His word will go forth and accomplish the purpose for which He sent it. The Lord honours the terms of the covenant He made with Israel. The Lord will take pleasure in destroying His children if they will not obey His commandments (Deuteronomy 28:63). Notice verse 64:

Deuteronomy 28:64 “64 And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.”

Did the Lord scatter Israel? Yes, He did! The Lord did exactly as he stated—nothing less and nothing more. Watch these verses:

Deuteronomy 28:65 “And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:”

Can we illustrate God brought this to pass? Yes, absolutely! Let us see:

Figure 6: A cartoon illustrating the plight of the African-Americans in hands of the police.  The African-Americans are being treated cruelly by the police, why? This answer is given in Deuteronomy 28:65. (Bentley, 2016).

The last verse of this chapter presents something very striking, let us see:

68 And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

Cast your mind back to verse 46: these curses will be as signs and wonders; these are landmark spiritual markers. Did God bring verse 68 to fulfilment? Yes, He did! How? Let us see (Figures 7-11).

Figure 7: The transatlantic slave trade—this was prophesied and it happened as the Lord has spoken through the mouth of His servant Moses. The slave trade was not random; some 5 million Igbos were shipped as slaves to the Americas and the Caribbean. (Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. / Kenny Chmielewski, n.d.).

Figure 8: Africans (Israelites) captured as slaves in 1880. This is what disobedience to the laws statutes and commandments of the Most High brought upon the Israelites. The Lord did exactly as He has stated (Deuteronomy 28:68). (Photos.com / Getty Images, n.d.).

Figure 9: Portuguese slave ship Diligente, which was engaged in the illegal slave trade,  was captured by a British ship in 1838. The Lord authorised the transatlantic slave trade according to His word in Deuteronomy 28:68; this was not random. (Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington, D.C., n.d.).

Figure 10: Slave market in East African port city of Zanzibar. The Lord made good his word in Deuteronomy 28:68; wherever the Israelites were scattered. Some 7000 slaves were sold annually in the 1860s. (Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc., n.d.).

Figure 11: Detail of a British broadside depicting the ship Brooks and the manner (c. 1790) in which more than 420 enslaved adults and children could be carried onboard. The condition on the ship was not pleasing; so many slaves died on these voyages. Question: why did God allow this to happen to His chosen people Israel? Because of disobedience. (Everett Historical / Shutterstock.com, n.d.).

Ham, Japhet, Ishmael (the Arab slave trade) all had hand in enslaving the children of Israel. An estimate of around 10-20 million slaves (which is believed to be higher) were shipped from the shores of Africa to the Americas. Who did all these things to the Israelites? God did! Watch verse 63 again:

Deuteronomy 28:63 “And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.”

God put all these curses on them because of their wickedness. Who has the power to remove all these curses? No one. Only God Himself will remove these curses—no one will be able. Was Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, able to liberate the African-Americans (some of the children of Israel) out of these? No! They tried but they could not. Only the God who put these curses on them will remove them. An estimated amount of 1.5 million Igbos were shipped as slaves to the Americas and the Caribbean. The Igbos of Nigeria are the remnants of the children of Israel that were not shipped. The Igbo man in Nigeria, has he got a fair shot of the stick? No! Only the God who put the curses will give them what they want. The only way is through repentance and coming back to keeping the laws of the Most High and the faith of Jesus Christ. The transatlantic slave trade was not random but prophesied and all happened according to the word of the Lord.

SOBER REFLECTION!

The very commandments they told us in churches that we don’t have to keep are the very commandments that God is working with to this date. The very things that drove the biblical Israelites into captivity, people are still doing them today: the gods of Easter, Christmas, Lent, Sunday worship, Easter sunrise worship, Halloween, eating unclean foods, etc. Certainly, people have misinterpreted God’s word.

Let us pause and ask a question: today, the people partly occupying the land of Israel and claiming to be Jews, did they fit the curses? Did they fit the history of ancient Egyptians and ancient Israelites? No, they did not. Today, the people claiming to be Jews but are not (Revelation 2:9; 3:9) are among the wealthiest on Earth—the Rothschilds family, for example, are the people largely controlling the banks. God promised Esau that he will get the fatness of the Earth. The real Biblical Israelites are not lending but borrowing and struggling to pay back. Let us ask this question again: what did Israel do to attract all these curses? Let us see more explanation:

ISAIAH 43:21-28

21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. 22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel. 23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. 24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. 25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. 26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. 27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. 28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.

God formed Israel to show forth His praise (verse 21) but Jacob (all Israel) has not called upon the Lord. They offered no sweet sacrifice to the Lord. Jacob did not do what was expected of him. See what the Lord says in verses 27-28:

“27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. 28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.”

The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob put all the curses on the Israelites: “and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.”

ISAIAH 42:19-22

19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant? 20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not. 21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. 22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

See what the Lord said in the passage above: His people Israel are blind; has ear but are deaf—they cannot hear. What did the Lord do? Let us see:

Verse 21: “The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.”

The Lord upheld the law and made it honourable. The law is still binding; no jot or tittle will pass away from it until all be fulfilled. See verse 22:

“22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.”

Which group of people is verse 22 talking about? Who are the people that form the larger part of the population of American prisons? It is no other than the African-Americans shipped as slaves to the Americas.  They are hidden in prison houses; none delivered them; no one called for their restoration. This describes no one but the biblical Israelites shipped as slaves to the Americas and other parts of the world (see Tables 1-4 and Figure 12). The transatlantic slave trade was not the only slave trade; the Arab slave trade is part of the bigger picture.

Table 1: Incarceration rates per 100,000 in the US (2013 data). Note how the blacks are disproportionately incarcerated. Why? This is according to the word of the Lord in Isaiah 42:22 and Deuteronomy 28. (Neils and The Sentencing Project, 2016).

Table 2: Incarceration ratio in the US (2013 data). Note how the ratios for the blacks are disproportionately high. Why? This is according to the word of the Lord in Isaiah 42:22 and Deuteronomy 28. (Neils and The Sentencing Project, 2016).

Table 3: State imprisonment in the US (2013 data). Note how the blacks are disproportionately imprisoned in all the states. Why? This is according to the word of the Lord in Isaiah 42:22. (Neils and The Sentencing Project, 2016).

Table 4: States with the highest black/white differential in the US (2013 data). Note how the rates for blacks are disproportionately high. Why? All are happening according to the word of the Lord. (Neils and The Sentencing Project, 2016).

Figure 12: Morden day slaves and a modern-day overseer. Why? This is according to the word of the Lord in Isaiah 42:22 and Deuteronomy 28. (Trappen, n.d.).

Figure 13: Morden-day slavery: in reality, slavery has not ended—it only changed form. Mass incarceration—a modern form of slavery. The Lord is making good His word; He will do exactly as He has stated. (Anarchist Agency, n.d.).

Now we have seen clearly which group of people the curses fit—the biblical Israelites led away captives in all the nations. Let us ask questions: will things continue this way? Will God ever come to their rescue? Will God remember mercy? Will God heal and restore Israel? Yes, God will do all these at the appointed time.  God has promised that He will heal, restore and take Israel back as a wife and this will happen at Christ’s second coming. This will take us to Part 3 where we will see how God plans to implement all these.

SUMMARY

The biblical Israelites have been led away captive in all the nations as prophesied in the Bible. The Israelites are a dark-skinned race of people. The true biblical Israelites are identified by the curses outlined in Deuteronomy 28 (and curses associated with disobedience stated elsewhere in the Scriptures). The biblical Israelites will be gathered and returned to their land at Christ’s second coming.
