THE TRUE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The Gospel—What is it? The word gospel comes from the Old English word god, meaning “good” and spel meaning “news, a story.” In other terms, the Gospel means glad tidings. But, what is the good news? How can one be a partaker of the good news (Gospel)?  What are the requirements before one can partake in this good news in the end? How is keeping the commandments of the Most High God related to the Gospel? Can one disregard the commandments of the Most High God and still partake in the good news in the end? When is the Gospel (good news) coming on stream?

We will answer all these questions and much more, and in the end, you will have a solid understanding of what the Gospel is. Whenever I talk to people about keeping the commandments of the Most High God, I often get different responses: we should not focus on keeping the commandments like the dietary and cleanliness laws because they are less critical. Instead, we should focus on the Gospel. I once mentioned to a pastor that we should keep the dietary laws because breaking the dietary laws is a sin (sin is the transgression of the Law 1 John 3:4), and his response was, we should focus on the Gospel.  Whenever one stresses the importance of keeping the commandments: the feast days, the fourth commandment, the cleanliness and dietary laws, most people often say: let us focus on the Gospel; let us focus on salvation and leave all this stuff about keeping the commandments of God, especially the ones found in the Old Testament.  Are the commandments of the Most High God separated from the Gospel? Are commandments like the dietary and cleanliness laws less important for the Gospel?

The spiritual mental capacity of many Christians has been severely diluted. Most people think they can disobey the commandments:

  • The dietary laws (eat pork and all sort of unclean meats).
  • Disregard the cleanliness law.
  • Celebrate Easter and Christmas in place of the feast days outlined in Leviticus 23.
  • Disregard the fourth commandment (worship on Sunday instead).
  • And the list goes on…

 And will be raptured to Heaven—what a dangerous ignorance!

The commandments of the Most High are strongly interwoven with the Gospel; keeping the commandments of the Most High God is a prerequisite to partaking in the good news (Gospel). For one to think that keeping the commandments of the Most High God is less important when it comes to the Gospel, it is a sign of wrong understanding of the Bible.  Most people know that the word gospel means good news (glad tidings). However, many people do not understand what constitutes the Gospel and how one can partake in it in the end. Therefore, it should be realised that the Gospel (good news) concerns the coming kingdom of the Most High God that Jesus Christ will set up at His second coming. There has been a succession of Gentile kingdoms since the world began, and the kingdom of Heaven will climax this succession.  Before we look at the Gospel of the kingdom of the Most High God that Jesus Christ will set up at His second coming, let us examine the succession of these kingdoms. Understanding the Gentile kingdoms (governments) will help us understand the good news (Gospel). The good news (Gospel) is good because it promises something that the previous kingdoms could not accomplish; it brings something that the previous kingdoms could not. So let us look at the succession of Gentile kingdoms.

THE SUCCESSION OF GENTILE KINGDOMS

The final and last kingdom to be set up by Christ offers something none of the kingdoms could do.  The Gentiles kingdoms were all about government; Christ’s kingdom will be a government too, but different from previous ones (see Isaiah 9:6-7).

The above figure (Figure 1) shows the succession of Gentiles kingdoms and the last kingdom to be established on the Earth; see Daniel 2:28-44, 7:1-3, 13-14, 17-18 to learn more about the Gentile kingdoms. All the Gentile kingdoms have something in common; they were ruled by mortal men like you and I. God has granted the Gentiles a space of time to lead this Earth (Luke 21:24); their rulership will last until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled. God has ordained all these from the beginning (Matthew 25:34). The good news is about how the kingdom of God will be different from the kingdoms ruled by the Gentiles. So, the question is, how will the kingdom come? How can one partake in it? Let us ask some questions concerning these Gentile kingdoms to get our thinking gear clicked into power:

  • Was there complete peace and stability during any of the Gentile kingdoms?
  • Was there complete righteousness during any of the Gentile kingdoms?
  • Did immortal men rule the Gentiles kingdoms?
  • Was there complete victory over sicknesses (cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes..)?
  • Did men stop learning to make war?
  • Did WHO manage to eradicate all diseases and sicknesses?
  • Did the UN food programme manage to solve the problem of famine, malnutrition and inadequate food supply?
  • With the advancements in science and technology, have we solved all our problems?
  • Did the UN manage to bring absolute peace and stability to Earth?

The above questions are largely rhetoric. The answer to all the questions above is no. None of the Gentile kingdoms met any of these conditions. Therefore, the final kingdom to be set up will last forever, and it is different from all the Gentile kingdoms that came before it. In the kingdom of God, all the points listed above will be met. The Gospel (good news) is about God’s coming kingdom and how it will be established. Millions of people are caught up in the false doctrine of going to Heaven—the third Heaven. The idea that people will be raptured to the third Heaven (where God is) is a popular but false doctrine. The kingdom of God (the kingdom of Heaven, the kingdom of Christ, the government of God) will be set up on this Earth and not in the third Heaven. Like previous kingdoms, the government of Christ will be on Earth. We have written extensively concerning the Gentile kingdoms; please refer to our article on The True Mark of The Beast to learn more about the Gentile kingdoms.  Now we understand that the Gospel (good news) concerns the coming kingdom of God. So, let us now answer the question: What is the gospel? The Gospel (good news), what is it all about? 

THE GOSPEL AS PROPHESIED BY THE PROPHETS

When we look at the Bible, almost everything is tied to Israel. The prophets were Israelites sent to Israel. With the above said, other nations are welcome to serve the God of Israel, but they must repent and keep the laws, statutes and commandments. Other nations can partake in the salvation that the Gospel brings, but they must understand that one standard applies to all. The idea that the Gentiles have now replaced Israel is not valid. God is still dealing with the true biblical Israelites, and they are at the centre of the Gospel. So please read our article on The True Biblical Israelites Identified (Parts 1-4). It won’t be easy to understand the Gospel properly if one does not understand the true biblical Israelites. The true biblical Israelites and the Gospel are inseparable. Isaiah presents a clear description of the Gospel, especially in chapters 61-63. We will walk through these chapters, and in the end, you will have a solid understanding of the true Gospel.

The saints of the Most High God have had a lot under the rulership of the Gentiles:

  • The blood of the saints (Israelites and those who genuinely serve the God of Israel) has been shed.
  • The Israelites have been through cycles of captivity.
  • The saints (Israelites and those who genuinely serve the God of Israel)  have been broken-hearted.
  • The Israelites/saints were imprisoned.
  • The Israelites (and all who genuinely serve the God of Israel) have been in mourning.
  • The blood of the saints cries for justice.
  • The saints are yearning for a better kingdom.

Watch this:

REVELATION 6:9-11

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

The Israelites (and all who were genuinely serving and keeping the commandments of the Most High God) were yearning for a different kingdom; they wanted peace: Let us see from the Bible:

ACTS 1:5-7

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

The disciples were eager for the kingdom to be restored to Israel and wanted to know when that would be done. When Nicodemus came to Jesus in the night, he was keen to understand things about entering the kingdom of God.  Jesus was sent for two reasons: die for the people’s sins and proclaim the good news of the coming kingdom.

Let’s start with Isaiah chapters 61-63 to get a better understanding of what the Gospel is all about.

ISAIAH 61:1-11

1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. 6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. 7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. 8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed. 10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Let us break this chapter into bullet points to understand the elements of the good news in this chapter.

  • And the opening of the prison to them that are bound (Verse 1)
  • To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God (Verse 2).
  • To comfort all that mourn (Verse 2).
  • To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Verse 3).
  • That they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified (Verse 3).
  • And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations (Verse 4).
  • And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers (Verse 5).
  • But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves (Verse 6).
  • For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore, in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them (verse 7).
  • For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. (Verse 8)
  • And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed (Verse 9).
  • I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels (Verse 10).
  • For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations (Verse 11).

Millions of Christians all over the globe believe that Jesus cancelled the Law when He came, and the Gospel is all about this. Many erroneously believe that Jesus came and provided permission to break the commandments of the Most High God: people can eat pork (and all unclean meats), disregard the cleanliness law, celebrate Christmas, Easter and all the pagan-derived holidays in place of the feast days outlined in Leviticus 23, break the fourth commandment, and be raptured to Heaven in the end. Most people are caught in the wrong understanding of the Gospel and are preaching falsehood. 

As we have seen earlier, the saints of the Most High God have been through a lot under the Gentile rulership. In the coming kingdom of God that will be established on this earth, the good news is (verse 1-4): there will be no broken-hearted person, there will be liberty for the saints of the Most High God; there will be a comfort for the people of the Most High God that are mourning. The saints of the Most High God will be given beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Notice verse 2: and the day of vengeance of our God.  Vengeance for what? Before the kingdom is established, Jesus will come and make war with the nations—vengeance (Romans 12:19; Psalm 94:1; Proverbs 20:22). All the kingdoms of this world will be brought down, and He will establish His kingdom. All the nations that have troubled Israel (the true biblical Israelites and all who have accepted the God of Israel faithfully) will be dealt with; the Lord will take revenge for everything; the Lord will avenge the blood of the saints before the kingdom is established.

The saints of the Most High God will be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. The true biblical Israelites (and all who have faithfully accepted the God of Israel) will be restored and will be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord; the Most High God will once again be glorified in Israel.

Watch verse 4: “And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”.  Does this sound like going to the third heaven? No! The true biblical Israelites are in captivity (please refer to our article on The True Israelites Identified), and Israel’s land is desolate. The temple is in ruins; the Gentiles and the heathens have trodden Jerusalem and defiled the land of the true biblical Israelites.  When the kingdom of God is established, all the wastes shall be built; desolations will be raised. All the destroyed cities of the true biblical Israelites shall be repaired; the desolations that have engulfed the true Israelites generation after generation shall be removed.  Can you see how the good news (Gospel) is tied to Israel? Does this sound like being rocketed to the third Heaven where the Most High God is? No!

Watch verse 5: This is one of the hard truths that most pastors and teachers don’t want to teach. Verse 5: “And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.”  Who are the strangers? And whose flock will they feed? The strangers and sons of the alien are the other nations (the Gentiles and other nations). The strangers and sons of the alien shall feed the flocks of the Israelites (the true biblical Israelites); they shall be the plowmen and vinedressers of the true biblical Israelites.  Can you see some of the elements of the good news (Gospel)?

Watch verse 6: “But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.”

The true biblical Israelites shall be called the Priests of the Lord, and Ministers of the Most High God. Notice something very striking in the latter part: “ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.”  Has this happened? Not yet! Just like when the Israelites went out with so many riches of the Egyptians during the first Exodus, the second Exodus will be similar; the Most High God will gather His children and establish the kingdom of Heaven. The true biblical Israelites that are called by all sort of bywords today and at are the bottom of the society (as a nation) will be restored, and they shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall the true Israelites boast. Who are the Gentiles? These are primarily the Europeans, sons of Japhet. Please refer to our article on The True Biblical Israelites Identified (Parts 1-4).

Verse 7: “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.”  For the shame that the saints have gone through, they shall be restored and have double. They shall possess double in their land; everlasting joy shall be their portion.

Can you see the constituents of the good news (Gospel)? These are a few elements documented in Isaiah 61.

 Let us see verse 9: “And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.”  At the moment, the true biblical Israelites are scattered among the nations and in captivity. When the kingdom of heaven is established, the true biblical Israelites will be known among the Gentiles; the Gentiles will acknowledge Israel.  The Most High God will wipe away all shame on the face of the actual biblical Israelites, and the Gentile nations shall see them as the blessed. All this good news will occur on earth and not in Heaven (the third heaven).

Let us read further.

“10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”

Watch verse 10: the true biblical Israelites (and all who have faithfully accepted the God of Israel)  shall be clothed with salvation. What salvation? The true biblical Israelites (and all who have faithfully received the God of Israel) will be clothed with salvation; they will be saved from all their troubles and enemies. Watch this:

LUKE 1:69-72

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

From the above passage, the salvation that God has raised through Jesus Christ, what is it? Israel has been through cycles of captivity, troubles, and constant hatred from its enemies. In the kingdom of God, Israel (and all who have served the God of Israel faithfully) will be saved. Salvation through Jesus Christ is not about going to the third Heaven. Instead, people will be saved in the end if they repent, be baptized, and live a righteous life and endure to the end.  So, can you see what the Gospel (good news) is about? The true biblical Israelites (and all who have served the God of Israel faithfully) will be saved with an everlasting salvation in the kingdom of heaven that will be established on earth. When the word salvation is mentioned, the question that should come to your mind is, to be saved from what? The salvation being talked about is integrated salvation:

  • Salvation from death.
  • Salvation from enemies.
  • Salvation from all troubles.
  • Salvation from all sicknesses.
  • And the list goes on.

No one is saved now; salvation will come in the end if one endures. At repentance, one is provisionally saved. The Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. The true Israelites (native-born and spiritual) will spring forth before the nations.

Where is the idea of being raptured to the third Heaven? People have injected this false idea into the Gospel. Is there all to the Gospel (Good news)? No! Let Explore Isaiah 62.

ISAIAH 62:1-12

62 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. 3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, 7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. 10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. 11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

The elements of the Gospel did not stop in chapter 61 but continue throughout chapter 62 of Isaiah. So let us walkthrough chapter 62 to continue building the bigger picture of the good news (the Gospel).

ISAIAH 62:1-2

“1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.”

 Watch something very striking again: “For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth” The Most High God will not rest until the salvation of the true biblical Israelites goes forth as a lamp that burns. Israel will be saved with an everlasting salvation. Isaiah 45:17But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.”  Israel will be saved with an everlasting salvation.  The true biblical Israelites are in captivity and covered with shame; the Most High God will gather and restore Israel; Israel will be saved, and all Gentiles nations and all kings on the earth will see Israel’s righteousness. The Most High God will call Israel with a new name.  

Pause for a moment; can you see how the Gospel is tied to the true biblical Israelites? Can you see the elements of the good news? Removing the true biblical Israelites from the Gospel is an incorrect understanding of the Bible, the true Israelites  (and all who have faithfully accepted the God of Israel)  are an inseparable part of the Gospel.  Let us read further.

ISAIAH 62:3-4

“3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.”

Can you see the promise that the Most High God made concerning Israel? The true biblical Israelites shall once again be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord and a royal diadem. Israel shall no more be termed forsaken; the land of Israel shall no more be desolate. When the kingdom of God is established on Earth, the true biblical Israelites (not the political one) will be restored, and the land of Israel shall flourish again. The lord will delight in Israel once again.  All these good tidings concern the coming kingdom of God.

ISAIAH 62:5-7

“5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, 7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”

The Most High God will rejoice over Israel. The Most High God will set watchmen over Israel; Jerusalem will be made a praise in the Earth. So, let us pause and ask some questions: has this happened? Is Jerusalem a praise on Earth? No. These are yet to happen. Jerusalem is still being trodden down by the Gentiles (Luke 21:24). Jerusalem is one of the friendliest cities to LGBTIQ+; the land of Israel is one of the lands processing and consuming unclean meats like pork; the Edomites, Gentiles and the heathens are still fighting over the land; there is no peace in Jerusalem.  When the true biblical Israelites are gathered and placed in their land, Jerusalem will be praise on Earth.

Let us read further to learn more about the good news (the Gospel):

ISAIAH 62:8-10

“8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. 10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.”

Can you see what the Most High God is promising? Can you see the good news (the Gospel)? Notice verse 8: “Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured” Israel will no more labour for others; Israel will enjoy the fruits of their labour.  The true biblical Israelites are still in captivity; they have gone through cycles of captivity and labouring for other people. So, in the kingdom of God to be established, Israel will not work for others.  Is this not good news with all that Israel has been through as a nation? Yes, it is good news! This is the Gospel!

ISAIAH 62:11-12

“11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.”

Watch verse 11: the Most High God is talking again about the salvation of the daughter of Zion. The Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, say ye to the daughter of Zion, behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. Israel shall be saved with an everlasting salvation. All these are yet to happen; all these will happen when the kingdom of God is established on Earth. Israel shall be called: The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

If you know who the true biblical Israelites are and what they have been through at the hands of their enemies, what more can be better news than all the things we have read? Aren’t all the things we have read good news? This is the Gospel; this is the good news. The Gospel is not only for Israel but for as many that would love the God of Israel and keep His laws, statutes and commandments.  Is that all about the Gospel? No! Isaiah 63 holds much more about what the Gospel is. So let us explore Chapter 63 to understand more about the Gospel (the good news).

ISAIAH 63:1-7

1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. 5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. 6 And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. 7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

Cast your mind back to Isaiah 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Part of the Gospel (good news) is the proclamation of the day of vengeance of our God. The Most High God will establish His kingdom through war. All the glad tidings that we have read will happen in the kingdom of God. However, the Lord will come and establish the kingdom through war and vengeance. The day of the Lord is a day of fury, revenge, war, destruction and gloom. The Lord will make war. Isaiah Chapter 63 gives us a preview of the vengeance spoken of in Isaiah 61:2.  

Look at ISAIAH 63:1 “Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”  The above verse is talking about none other than Jesus. Jesus comes with dyed garments from Bozrah, travelling in the greatness of His strength. Verse 2 says: “Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat”   Jesus’s garment is red like him that treaded a winefat. Why is His garment red? We will answer this shortly.  Watch verse 3:

“3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.”

The day of the Lord is a day of vengeance (vengeance is part of the Gospel; the kingdom will be established through vengeance and killing). Jesus Christ will come and make war and kill many people before establishing His kingdom. Have you heard of the title Jesus The Man of War? The Lion of the Tribe of Judah? What does a lion do? Lions fight! The lion of the tribe of Judah is not an empty title; Jesus, together with a host of angelic armies, will fight like a lion at His second coming.

Watch verse 6: “And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth” The Lord Jesus Christ will make the people of the earth drink His fury and wrath; the day of the Lord is a day of wrath—day of gloom, destruction, bloodshed, catastrophe, for the ungodly.  Watch this:

ISAIAH 66:13-19

13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. 14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. 15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many. 17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord. 18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. 19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

Notice verse 13: The anger of the Lord will be made known towards his enemies. Verse 16 says: “For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many” The Lord will come and make war; He will unleash His fury on the ungodly and will slay many people. Can you see why He was described as a man with a dyed garment? His garments were dyed with blood like one who treaded winepress. Watch what John the revelator says:

REVELATION 19:11-15

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

John saw the same thing prophesied by Isaiah. The one sitting on the white horse is Jesus Christ. Verse 13 says: “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:” Why a vesture dipped in blood? This is the Gospel. Jesus will come with a host of Heaven in vengeance and fury and make war with the nations; it will be a sorrowful moment for the ungodly.  Verse 15: “and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”  Jesus trod the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  Can you see how the Lord will execute vengeance? The kingdom of Heaven will be a kingdom like no other—that’s good news—that’s the Gospel. But here is a question, who will fight for the saints of the Lord? The Lord Jesus Christ will come and fight for His people to establish the Kingdom—that’s good news—that’s the Gospel.  We can go on and on in the Book of Isaiah and the entire Bible, exploring more about what the Gospel is. However, even at the stage, the point is strongly made; with Isaiah 61,62 and part of 63, we have firmly made a case for the true Gospel (the true good news). So, before we head to the following subheading, let us see some of the good things promised that will be unveiled in the kingdom.

ISAIAH 65:17-25

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.

Notice verse 17: the Lord will make a new heaven and new earth; former things will not be remembered. John saw the same thing (Revelation 21-22). There will be no more weeping in Jerusalem; there will be no more sorrow. The people of God shall not labour in vain. Verses 17-25 outline some of the good things that people will see in the kingdom of God. With all that Israel has been through and is still going through, are all these tidings not glad tidings? They are indeed happy tidings—they are good news.   What did Prophet-King David say in the Psalms about the Gospel? Let us see:

PSALM 132:11-14

11 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. 12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. 13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. 14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

The Lord has promised David that from his offspring (Jesus, the Son of David: Luke 18:38) will sit and rule on his throne. The Gospel is geared towards the saints of the Most High God taking the kingdom forever. How do we know this? Let us see:

DANIEL 7:15-18

15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. 16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. 18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

In the above passage, John the revelator saw the same thing prophesied by Daniel. Let us see below:

REVELATION 11:15-18

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Taking dominion over all kingdoms on earth and giving rulership to the saints will be spearheaded by Jesus Christ. He will come and make war to establish His kingdom on this earth—this is one of the critical elements of the good news (the Gospel). What can be better than knowing that Jesus will take dominion of all kingdoms under the earth and give it to the saints? There is no good news better than this.

Watch this:

LUKE 1:30-33

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Notice verse 33: The Most High God has given Him the throne of His father David, and He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end to His Kingdom. The Gospel is not about being flown to Heaven through rapture; the idea/doctrine of going to Heaven is false. Jesus will set up His kingdom on this earth and rule on the throne of His father David forever (see also Matthew 25:31-34).

“32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”

He will rule on the throne of His father David, not in Heaven; the idea of going to the third Heaven is a fallacy. We have viewed the Gospel as prophesied by the prophets and revealed to the apostles. So let us look at the Gospel as proclaimed by Jesus Christ and the apostles.

THE GOSPEL: AS PROCLAIMED BY JESUS CHRIST AND THE APOSTLES

Mark 1:1-15

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; 2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. 5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. 6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; 7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. 8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. 10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: 11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 12 And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness. 13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Notice verse 1: the start of the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ. John was sent to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah; how did he prepare the way? The preparation process told the people to repent of their sins and be baptized. Repentance is key to getting ready for the coming kingdom of God. What did Jesus do when He came? His message was not different from what John the Baptist was preaching; Jesus was preaching repentance. Watch verse 15: “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Jesus Christ was sent for two critical missions:

  • Die for the people’s sins and provide atonement—an atonement better the blood of bulls and goats.
  • Proclaim the good news of the coming kingdom of God to be set up at the end of the age when Jesus returns the second time.

 He preached the good news in cities, telling them about God’s kingdom to be set up at the end of the age and how they could enter the kingdom. Watch this: Luke 4:43And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.”

The good news is all about salvation that will be unveiled in the kingdom of God. The good news has never been prosperity and material gains, and it will never be so. The false pastors that have made the Gospel to about amassing private jets, expensive cars, the finest things of this life, will see destruction in the end if they don’t repent.  The message is always clear whenever Jesus sends his disciples (then and now); preach the good news of the kingdom and tell them to repent of their sins and get prepared for the coming kingdom. Let us see:

LUKE 9:1-6

9 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. 3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. 4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. 5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

The disciples were sent to preach the good news of the coming kingdom of God. The Gospel they preached is no different from what we have seen prophesied in Isaiah. Instead, they went to towns and villages preaching the Gospel of the kingdom.

Watch what the apostles did:

ACTS 28:21-23

21 And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee. 22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against. 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Notice verse 23: he expounded to them the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the Law of Moses and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. Notice that he used all the Scriptures—the Law of Moses, the prophets and the words of Jesus. Who are the people telling you that the Laws are done away with? If the Laws were done away with, he wouldn’t have used them in expounding the kingdom of God. Don’t let anyone deceive you that the laws are done away with; only the law of animal sacrifice and associated rituals are done away with, the other set of laws are still in place and are to be obeyed. The Gospel is all about the kingdom of God, how it will be established, and how one can enter into it. They preached one thing, and one thing only—the gospel of the coming kingdom of God (Romans 1:1; 13-17). Apostle Paul preached the gospel of the kingdom and how people can be prepared and enter it.  The instruction from Jesus to His followers has all been about one thing only: preaching the gospel (Mark 16:16-16). Repent, believe and be baptized—that was the message. The question that we should ask is, repent from what? Repent from sin. Then, what is sin? Sin is the transgression of the Law (1 John3:4, Romans 3:20, Romans 4:15).  Do you think that the Gospel is somehow separated and detached from keeping the Law? Keeping the law and the prophets are interwoven with the Gospel. How do we know this?

MATTHEW 5:17-19

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Not keeping the commandments will prevent you from entering the kingdom of God. Jesus spent his life preaching the Gospel of the kingdom; instructed his disciples to do so after His ascension into Heaven (see Acts 1:1-3).

THE SIGNS OF THE END OF THE AGE

The Gospel news is all about the coming kingdom, and the kingdom will be established at the end of the age. After the rule of the Gentiles is completed, the kingdom of God will be established. The disciples of Jesus were keen to understand the signs of His coming and the end of the age.

MATTHEW 24:3 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”  The disciples were greatly anticipating God’s coming kingdom and wanted to know the signs of the end of the age. Many false prophets will arise and will deceive many (verse 11).  Watch verse 14:

MATTHEW 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

The Gospel of the kingdom will have to be preached in all the earth before the end can come. However, not all will accept the Gospel, but it will be preached as a witness.

WHO CAN BE A PARTAKER OF THE GOOD NEWS? WHO CAN ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

GALATIANS 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:9

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

GALATIANS 5:21

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

 Millions of Christians are deceived into thinking that the laws are done away with. Jesus did not cancel the laws and prophets; He came and fulfilled what was written about Him. You and I still have responsibility; we need to keep away sin (keep the commandments 1 John 3:4), which is what Apostle Paul says in the above verse. So many Christians think that if a commandment is not mentioned in the New Testament, it is not essential. So many Christians play this game: if a commandment in the Old Testament is not stated in the New Testament, it is done away with/not essential. This understanding is false and dangerous!

Even if we play this game (if a commandment given in the old testament is not stated in the New Testament, then it is done away with/not essential), the very people who coined this game and its rules will be defeated by their own game. How? Let us see: notice the word “uncleanness” in the above passage; we should ask where Apostle Paul is quoting from. Remember that Apostle Paul was not creating these commandments from scratch; he quoted the Scriptures. So, where did he quote from? Let us see:

LEVITICUS 18:19

Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

LEVITICUS 22:3

Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the Lord, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord.

NUMBERS 5:19

And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

DEUTERONOMY 23:10

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

2 SAMUEL 11:4

And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.

EZEKIEL 36:17

Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

LEVITICUS 15:26

Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.

LEVITICUS 5:3

Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.

The above verses are just a few examples; we can see that the Most High God condemns uncleanness—whether physical or otherwise. Apostle Paul was not stating a new commandment; he was only stressing what had been there. Millions of Christians believe that God’s cleanliness and dietary law are done away with; this is wrong.  Apostle Paul is stressing what is written in the law and prophets. Can you see that even with what is written in the New Testament, many people disregard it? The very people who frequently go to the writings of Apostle Paul to find a cover for not keeping the commandments cherry-pick from his writings. Can you see the hypocrisy and deception? Without cleanliness (physical or otherwise), one cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven. Most Christians think the Gospel is all about having no responsibility: (worship on Sunday, eat pork, disregard the cleanliness law, celebrate Easter, Celebrate Christmas, and be raptured to Heaven)—this is dangerous ignorance! When Jesus says: “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”  Do you think Jesus is joking? Watch this:

ISAIAH 66:15-17

15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many. 17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.

We can see that those breaking the dietary law by eating pork and all sorts of unclean meats will be consumed at the second coming of the Lord. Do you want to be destroyed? Do you want to make it to the kingdom of God? Keep the law and the prophets. Only those who overcame and stood firm to the end shall be saved.

REVELATION 2:26-27

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Those who overcame and kept the words of Jesus will be given power over the nations and will rule with Christ in the kingdom of Heaven.  Have you ever thought about some of the parables that Jesus gave concerning the kingdom of Heaven? Do you understand why these parables relate to cities and rulership? It is not random, but all tie into the kingdom of God to be set up at Christ’s return. Let us see some examples:

LUKE 19:11-18

11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

In the above parable, the nobleman is Jesus Christ. He left to receive the kingdom. Like the nobleman gives tasks to his servants, Jesus commissioned His disciples to preach the Gospel until He returns. Jesus will reward his faithful servants at His coming, and they will rule with Him—they will rule over cities. Notice what we read earlier in Revelation: “to him will I give power over the nations” Why power over the nations? This ties to the parables that Jesus gave.  Rulership with Christ will be one of the essential rewards for the saints in the kingdom of Christ; let us see the Bible:

LUKE 22:24-30

24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. 25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. 26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. 27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. 28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. 29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The saints will be appointed a kingdom by Jesus. The saints will eat and drink with Jesus at His table in His kingdom. Anyone who continues with Jesus will be rewarded when the kingdom of Heaven is established.

THE PREREQUISITE

The message has always been the same. To enter the kingdom of God, we must repent from our sin (stop breaking the law and prophets and the words of Jesus and the apostles), be baptized and endure to the end.  The message has always been the same: from the prophets to John the Baptist to Jesus Christ to the apostles. Repent from your sins, turn away from unrighteousness.  Let us see:

ISAIAH 58:1 “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”

Show the house of Israel their sins; let them repent and turn away from their wickedness.

MATTHEW 3:1-6

3 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

John the Baptist is no different; he only stressed what the prophets wrote. Repent, be baptized and turn away from your sin. The people came and confessed their sins.

MATTHEW 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

ACTS 2:37-39

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The message has always been about repentance and preparation for the coming kingdom of God. From the law to the prophets to Jesus to the apostles, it is all about one thing and one thing only—repent and be prepared for the coming kingdom of God.

REVELATION 3:18-21

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Jesus is calling people to repentance—that’s the message. Harden not your heart when you hear His voice.

In our prayers, we should earnestly seek the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is packed with good things one could think of, and that’s why we pray, let thy kingdom come, let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

MATTHEW 6:9-10 “9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

MATTHEW 6:30-33

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Gentiles seek after things that will end in this life; we are commanded to seek the kingdom of heaven. The question is, how does one seek the kingdom of heaven? The answer is not far-fetched; one needs to repent, be baptized, and continue in the path of righteousness to the end.  

FLESH AND BLOOD WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD—THE SAINTS WILL BE BORN AGAIN TO ENTER

Millions of Christians all over the globe have massively misinterpreted the phrase “born again” to mean one can be born again in this life. This understanding is wrong, and that is not what Jesus meant in John chapter 3. There will be no flesh and blood in the kingdom of Heaven, and the transition from flesh and blood to spirit (from mortal to immortal, from corruptible to incorruptible) is what Jesus was referring to as “be born again”.

JOHN 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

What Jesus is saying in the above verse is that except a man is changed from flesh and blood to the spirit being, he cannot enter into the kingdom of Heaven. Further,  Apostle Paul wrote the same thing in his epistles.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:20-23

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

When Jesus came into this world, He came as flesh and blood, and that’s why He is referred to as “the Son of Man”. When he died and resurrected, he was resurrected with a spirit body, which is why the Bible says He is firstborn from the dead. Those who are His will be born again (born into the spirit world) at His coming: “Christ the firstfruits; afterwards they that are Christ’s at his coming.” Notice the question Apostle Paul asks in verse 35, How are the dead raised? And with what body do they come?  Let us read further to see the answer.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:42-52

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

See what Apostle Paul is saying:

  • Sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.
  • Sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory.
  • Sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
  • Sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.
  • There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Adam was the first man, and death came through Adam. Christ is the last Adam and a quickening spirit. Through Christ, we will be quickened and have spirit bodies.  Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of Heaven (verse 50-52). Apostle Paul and Jesus Christ are on the same page; they say the same thing.

  • Jesus: Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (be born again from flesh to spirit).
  • Apostle Paul: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

Are they saying a different thing? No, they are not! The Bible explains itself; let us see what Jesus says in other passages:

LUKE 20:34-36

34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

The people who shall be accounted worthy to inherit the kingdom of Heaven shall be born into the spirit world (be born again) and shall be as angels. Spirits don’t die, and the saints will not worry about death at the resurrection. Anyone telling you that you can be born again in this life is false—it shows an incorrect understanding of the Bible. People saying that they have been born again in this life show a wrong understanding of the Bible.

ONLY BELIEVE AND DEFEND THE TRUE GOSPEL

Don’t allow anyone to preach a false gospel to you. Any gospel that tells that the law is done away is false. Gospel that tells you to sin is not from the Most High God.

Another Gospel (False Gospel):

  • Gospel that says the law is done away with (except animal sacrifice and associated rituals).
  • Gospel that tells you to celebrate Ashtoreth in the name of Easter (1 Kings 11:5-6; Ezekiel 8:15-16).
  • Gospel that tells you to set up trees in the name of worshipping Christ (Jeremiah 10:1-5).
  • Gospel that tells you to observe Lent (Weeping for Tammuz) (Ezekiel 8:13-15).
  • Gospel that tells you to bake a cake to the queen of heaven in the name of Easter hot cross bun (Jeremiah 7:18).
  • Gospel that tells you to worship Ashtoreth in the name of Easter (Jeremiah 44:19-29).
  • Gospel that tells you to disregard the feast days outlined by God in Leviticus 23.
  • Gospel that tells you to disregard the dietary laws in Isaiah 66:15-18, Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy 14, Isaiah 65:4.
  • Gospel that tells you to disobey the fourth commandment—the Lord’s sabbath (Exodus 31:14-17, Isaiah 56:4, Isaiah 56:6, Isaiah 58:13, Nehemiah 10:31).
  • Gospel that tells you to teach people that the Law is done away with (Matthew 5:17; Romans 6:1).
  • Gospel that tells you to celebrate Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and all other holidays God never commanded.
  • The list goes on…

Apostle Paul warns people to stay away from any Gospel (good news) that teaches people the above points. The Apostles never celebrated Easter and Christmas, didn’t break the fourth commandment, did not do all the things listed in the above points. So, Apostle Paul is saying stay away from any perverted gospel.

GALATIANS 1:6-9

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Anyone teaching people contrary to the word of the Most High God should be accursed; therefore, we should have no place for such a person.

SUMMARY

The Gospel is all about the news that the Most High God has drawn a plan to save the true biblical Israelites (and all who have served the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob faithfully) with an everlasting salvation. This eternal salvation will be in full force when the kingdom of God is established on Earth. When the kingdom is established, there will be no more sorrow, pain, sickness and death—all these will pass away. The Lord will come with fury and anger, make war, slay people (the unrighteous), and establish His Kingdom.  The Gospel is all about the kingdom of God. The death of Jesus on the Cross is part of the plan to save Israel with everlasting salvation—it provides eternal atonement. To enter the kingdom, one must repent, be baptized, live a righteous life to the end.
